Christian Women's Job Corps

Information for the New Jasper Site

We are so excited to offer several wonderful programs to our applicants. We will begin February 7 and continue for 12 weeks. We encourage women to sign up early to take advantage of all the programs but we will accept applications anytime!  Please tell your neighbors, church friends, and co-workers about CWJC so more women can be reached.  Remember the CWJC Valentines Day offering reminds you of LOVE....GOD's LOVE and when you share $1.00 each you will help share that love to the women in
CWJC!

Thank you for all who have donated items and money to Jasper CWJC. Let me welcome you to join us any Tuesday to see our program.  Continue to pray for the women in our area who are searching for peace and purpose.  Please call me at 409-382-0854 or email me at
godlovescwjc@gmail.com for more information or applications.

The purpose of CWJCsm, a non-profit organization, is to provide life and job readiness skills for women with a Christian context.  The program is designed for a classroom model with one on one mentoring.  Some of the life and job skills this session were :  GED, SAT, keyboarding, anger/stress management, money management, parenting skills, health and hygiene, make-up tips and how to dress for the work place.  Work Force Solutions held a job readiness workshop and also helped with GED preparation.

Volunteers are very special people and are crucial to the success of the program.  They provide encouragement, instruction, refreshments and other needs.  CWJCsm appreciates every church that gives an offering, provides gift bags, prays or volunteers in any way.  For a participant application or information about volunteering, call Jennifer Spell in Silsbee at 409-659-2574.

What happens in a typical CWJCsm twelve week program?

Women receive training in life skills and job readiness, such as preparation for GED.  Often, computer skills are taught as well.  Each session is customized to meet the needs of the participants and many topics of interest are offered to help with self improvement needs such as anger/stress issues, money management, stress management, health and hygiene and personal appearance improvement.

What makes CWJCsm different from other job-readiness programs?

Each participant is involved in Bible study

Participants are also matched with a trained Christian woman who will be a mentor as the participant travels the road from dependency to self-sufficiency

There is absolutely NO cost involved to the participant
