"COVID-19 can't stop
...it can only relocate it!"
(...to wherever you are!)
While our team made the decision to cancel our onsite weeks of camp at East Texas Baptist Encampment in Newton this year, we'd like to let you know how your church can still have "CAMP" this summer with us!
WHAT IS THIS?
Those who desire to have a camp experience while social distancing and protecting their students and leaders from spread of the virus can join us July 6-10 for "Camp in a Box". Your group can participate in nightly online Worship in Song and Preaching from God's Word. Our Camp theme is "VISION" and will be centered around Biblical truths from Hebrews 12:1-2. (Bad Internet Connection? NO PROBLEM! The worship and preaching sessions will be prerecorded and included on a thumb drive in your box).
The box will also contain Video Bible Studies for each day with discussion guides and a recommended schedule. There will be "safe distance" appropriate game ideas and we'll even have camp shirts available for you to order (included in the per person price).
Our live feed will be broadcast nightly from Cornerstone Baptist Church (1600 S. Pine) in Kountze, Texas. If your group would like to join others from our area at one of these live broadcasts, you're welcome to sign-up to do so. (We'll even feed your group that night!)
HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST OUR CHURCH / EACH STUDENT?
We recognize that the impact of churches not meeting for several weeks has limited many from typical fundraising opportunities. Our goal since our decision to cancel our onsite camp weeks has been to provide an affordable, meaningful, and beneficial option.
The cost for your church to participate is an initial fee of $200.
After that, we ask $25 from each participating student and leader for your church.
WHEN DO I NEED TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION?
Please complete your registration (Step 2) by Friday, June 12 to allow your packet and tshirts to arrive in a timely fashion before the week of July 6-10.
Registration on June 13 through June 26 is permitted, but shirts may arrive after the completion of camp.

David Gentiles - Worship Leader
"Growing up in a ministerial home I was exposed to the person of Jesus and church life very early. At a young age I sensed God drawing me to himself and I responded by giving my life to him. I had the peace of a sealed eternity with God, but as I grew older I experienced seasons of wandering spiritually. For many years I struggled with addiction, depression, and a sense of purposelessness. At the age of twenty the Lord swooped me out of great darkness and led me into a season of healing and peace. During this time I heard the voice of God telling me that he had designed me from before I was born to serve his church. Truly God won my heart when He transplanted me to Dallas, Tx where I would attend Dallas Baptist University and become involved at First Baptist Church in Euless, Tx. It was the leadership at First Euless that guided me to a place where I would surrender my life and quite literally my hands in lifted praise and worship to Him. I began asking the Lord for the opportunity to do that same thing and lead worship so that others might experience the same healing as I did. I’m so proud that my parents have given their lives to the work of Gospel ministry. They have given me such a rich legacy to follow. It certainly starts in our home. Emily and I have been married for eleven years and we have two stunning children that we fostered for two years and finally adopted the summer of 2018. They are our treasure and we are reminded every day of God’s aggressive love in that while we were orphaned in our sin, God came after us. I love Jesus. I love my wife. I love our kids. I love my family and I love the church. I am grateful that He has given me all that He has and I long for my response to be one of service — pouring into the broken so they might know Jesus and be healed in His name."
